It's a race against time and while it doesn't reinvent the action-adventure wheel, Uncharted is a perfectly diverting piece of entertainment. He's a brainy bartender who is looking for some hidden Magellan treasure, and maybe his missing older brother too, and is aided by Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg), an Army vet with a shared goal of retrieving the gold before his rival, wealthy industrialist Santiago (Antonio Banderas). ![]() The game was in development for so long that the producers have finally ditched Nathan Fillion, the celebrity doppelganger in look and attitude of the game's swashbuckling protagonist Nathan Drake, and resorted to everyone's favorite web-slinger Tom Holland as a younger version of the hero. While playing the globe-trotting, puzzle-solving, treasure-hunting action-adventures, it feels very much like you're already in the middle of a big-budget Hollywood blockbuster. The successful Uncharted series (2007-2016) are some of the most movie-ready video games for big screen adaptation. Rating: PG-13 (Violence/Action and Language) If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world's oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate's long-lost brother.but only if they can learn to work together. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. ![]() Luckily, it looks like Uncharted may succeed on both fronts.Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. This bodes well for the upcoming movie as it will have to sell the classic franchise to newcomers while also integrating new and exciting action for those familiar with the games. The helicopters lifting old pirate ships out of the jungle, which leads to a battle aboard the ships in mid-air, is a major change to the Uncharted games, but fitting for their innovative and adventurous action. While most of the scenes had been teased before, it looks like the new movie's climactic final battle has been shown off in the latest video. In addition to the reveal of Sully's mustache, the Uncharted trailer also shows off some incredible action. Now, it looks like Sony has taken notice and even included a joke about it in the latest trailer, with Holland's character ribbing Sully for the sudden appearance of a mustache on his face. Many were also concerned about Sully's lack of a mustache in the first Uncharted trailer even though set videos had previously shown Wahlberg sporting one. Having the Uncharted movie take place during Nathan Drake's youth has been a point of contention for many fans, especially those who wanted to see someone like Nathan Fillion take on the main role. However, the new Uncharted trailer also officially reveals Sully's famous mustache and an insane new action scene atop flying ships that are hooked up to helicopters. The clip features many of the action sequences already teased in the first trailer, including the one where Holland falls out of a plane over a clear blue ocean. Now, with a few short months until Uncharted's release, Sonyhas unveiled a new trailer for the movie. The mix of the old and the new appears to be integral to the Uncharted movie as it seeks to bring in fans of the video games and new audiences unfamiliar with the franchise. The first Uncharted trailer showed that the movie will be adapting the earlier years of Nathan Drake's treasure hunting while incorporating some beloved action scenes from the game. ![]()
